These terms apply to businesses listed on Geelong Rural Trades and to anyone using the site to find a local trade. By submitting a listing or using the site, you agree to these terms.
What we are
Geelong Rural Trades is a local directory. We list rural and agricultural services across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, and the Surf Coast, and let customers contact those businesses directly. We are not a lead marketplace — we don't sell, share, or bid out enquiries, and we don't take a cut of any work booked through the directory.
Listings
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the information in your listing — name, contact details, description, and photos.
- We review submissions before they go live, but this isn't a guarantee or endorsement of the quality of your work, your licensing, or your insurance.
- We may edit, decline, or remove a listing at our discretion — including if information appears false, misleading, or the listing is inactive or unresponsive to review requests.
- Free listings include one photo and a shortened description in search results. Featured listings include additional photos, full description visibility, and priority placement, as described on the pricing page.
Featured subscriptions
- Featured listings are billed monthly via Stripe and can be cancelled at any time — cancellation takes effect immediately, and you won't be charged again after cancelling.
- We don't provide refunds for partial billing periods.
- Promotional or discounted rates (including any founding-member pricing) apply only under the terms stated when the offer was given, and may be limited in availability or duration.
- If a payment fails, your listing will revert to the free tier — we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you, but the automatic downgrade may occur before you see that notice.
Using the directory as a customer
When you contact a business through the directory, you're dealing directly with that business — not with us. We aren't a party to any work, quote, contract, or payment between you and a listed business, and we're not liable for the quality, safety, or outcome of any work performed.
Acceptable use
Don't use the directory to submit false listings, scrape or republish our data at scale, or attempt to disrupt the site. We may suspend access for anyone doing so.
Liability
The directory is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, reliance on listing information, or dealings with a listed business. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms as the directory grows. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
